Welcome to our small and friendly workshops which take place at our studio in Newport, Isle of Wight, UK. These individual workshops are aimed at all level of sewer, from our Starting to Sew sessions for complete beginners to pattern drafting and draping for more advanced makers. Workshops and classes are taught by myself, Sue, I am a professional pattern cutter with over thirty years of fashion industry experience.

A two hour basics class to get to know the sewing machine, sew simple seams and neaten edges. Bring your own machine or use one of our Janome machines. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting to refresh their sewing skills. These are normally repeated monthly with the opportunity to take follow on workshops.

You decide what you would like to achieve. Maybe learn sewing basics in one session, create a pattern from your favourite garment, create a body block or a trouser block, learn some pattern drafting, it's your choice!

Lessons can be from one to three hours.
